The amount of trimming needed depends on use, driving style, spring rate, vehicle weight, wheel backspacing, tire width, etc. The issue being overlooked here is that the truck in question has tires that do not fit with the use of most drivers. It is possible to go bigger with the leveled Silverado 1500 but you must make some modifications for the wheel to fit. To modify the wheel, you will need to get a lift kit that fits the weight of your truck. To mount a 35S leveled on Silverado 1500, you will need a lift kit that ranges between 3.5 inches to 6 inches. You can get 35's on there but only if you go with a positive offset wheel and it will still require minimal trimming. I would say at least a +18 offset wheel with a 5" backspace. Cognito kit is definitely the way to go if you plan on leveling it.
